Adolescent Curriculum

Lesson 1: Feelings Dictionary

This lessons builds vocabulary related to identifying emotions we feel.  Notice that Rachel:

  1. Provides relevant personal examples to build trust and connection.

  2. Often reflects back what the student says to confirm understanding.

Lesson 2: Emotional Intensity

In this lesson students recognize the intensity level of emotions they feel and they notice how emotions and intensity levels change. They also notice how emotions feel in the body.

Notice how Rachel utilizes short videos to facilitate experiences of emotional awareness and reflection.

Lesson 3: Calming & Awareness Techniques

Notice how Rachel helps students connect biology concepts with their life experience.
